Hebrews 13:15 Through Jesus, therefore, let us continually offer to God a sacrifice of praise – the fruit of lips that openly profess his name.
God would like us to praise Him at all times, not just on Sunday, not just in a church building, not just when we pray…
We can praise Him through everything we do by acknowledging Him as our creator God!
Jesus has give us direct access to Him to do this...
Psalm 27:7 Hear my voice when I call, Lord; be merciful to me and answer me.
How often have you demanded something of God because you really needed it?
How often have you stopped to listen for an answer from Him?
Stop shouting and start listening!
Psalm 48:1 Great is the Lord, and most worthy of praise, in the city of our God, his holy mountain.
What separates us more than a mountain which we think we cannot climb?
God wants us to draw close to Him and to do that He is willing to give us all the rope we need…
But we still have to grasp that rope!
Hebrews 12:14 Make every effort to live in peace with everyone and to be holy; without holiness no one will see the Lord.
Why do you think Jesus told us we were to love our neighbours… and even our enemies?
How can we expect God to love us if we are not going to try and draw close to Him?
To draw closer to Him we need to be not guilty – which means we need Christ to forgive us!
