Matthew 4:19 ‘Come, follow me,’ Jesus said, ‘and I will send you out to fish for people.’
Do you know what to do after you have caught a fish? Do you know how to gut them and prepare them for cooking and/or eating?
Jesus has asked us to throw out the line and try to bring a fish back to shore – or rather a person…
He will prepare and clean us ready to join the Father in Heaven!
Luke 10:21 At that time Jesus, full of joy through the Holy Spirit, said, ‘I praise you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because you have hidden these things from the wise and learned, and revealed them to little children. Yes, Father, for this is what you were pleased to do.
This is a passage which should prove to us Jesus was entirely man as well as being God!
He showed us what it is like to follow and obey God the Father.
Our aim should be to emulate Jesus in whatever way we can!
Isaiah 4:6 It will be a shelter and shade from the heat of the day, and a refuge and hiding-place from the storm and rain.
When we look back and see what happened in the desert, we see a physical manifestation of Gods presence in the form of the cloud of smoke and the column of fire.
We have all this proof in our history, recorded for all to remember and stand in awe of…
… why do we keep on asking for more proof?
Matthew 24:36 But about that day or hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father.
When was the last time someone surprised you? How did you handle it?
Now, imagine someone is going to turn up and give you a house… would you be ready and waiting?
Christ has said He is preparing us our places in Heaven and is going to return to give us those places… are you ready?
