Psalm 84:3 Even the sparrow has found a home, and the swallow a nest for herself, where she may have her young – a place near your altar, Lord Almighty, my King and my God.

On these late summer evenings we have the privilege of being able to gaze out our windows and see the swifts and swallows ducking and diving through the evening skies!

God is the one who has given them and ability to fly high and fast gathering up insects at an amazing speed; He is feeding them directly!

God has done this for the birds and the animals; imagine how much more He wants to do for you, the one He loves!

Psalm 80:6 You have made us an object of derision to our neighbours, and our enemies mock us.

What goes through your mind when you stumble whilst trying to tell someone about Jesus – do you feel like the world is mocking you?

I’m sure we have all felt intimidated when things have not gone as planned; but what if someone gave you the right things to say when you needed to say them?

Christ left the Holy Spirit with us to teach us what to say when we need to say it – Trust Him!

Matthew 10:11 Whatever town or village you enter, search there for some worthy person and stay at their house until you leave.

When Jesus sent out the disciples to go into the town and cities around them, He sent them out not as rich men but as servants…

Servants do not go into communities and demand luxuries, they go into communities and serve the people there.

Don’t continually look for riches and rewards when going to do God’s work – work with joy and live with God.

What is the first step you take to start a new project or a new job?

When we are serious about something we step forward and take that first step to change what we are going to do – that is the first step toward success!

To start a new life with Christ, we need to step forward and make that initial decision...
