Isaiah 49:13 Shout for joy, you heavens; rejoice, you earth; burst into song, you mountains! For the Lord comforts his people and will have compassion on his afflicted ones.

God does not always speak through the thunderstorm and earthquakes in life, sometimes He will whisper something in your ear.

When we do submit to the Lord, He is willing and able to comfort us in ways which we cannot understand or think of; but He does!

The lord is always watching over us and wants to protect and comfort us all the time; be patient and wait...

John 5:11 But he replied, ‘The man who made me well said to me, “Pick up your mat and walk.”’

When you think about what God would say to you – what do you think of? Do you think of the grand quest He will send you on? Do you think of the mighty feat He will ask of you?

God does not want us all to be superheroes. He wants us to be humble and willing to obey – simple!

Jesus’ command to the man was simple “Pick up your mat and walk!”

Listen to what God is saying and not what you are dreaming of!

John 4:48 ‘Unless you people see signs and wonders,’ Jesus told him, ‘you will never believe.’

Are you trapped inside this earthly cupboard where you believe you cannot escape because you have not seen the power of God with your own eyes?

Will you be able to take a small step forward in faith instead of having to witness things with your own eyes?

God knows He could perform a miracle so you will believe, but He would rather you take a leap of faith and trust Him before you have to see the physical proof.

Spiritual proof seems far more valuable to me!

2 Corinthians 5:16 So from now on we regard no one from a worldly point of view. Though we once regarded Christ in this way, we do so no longer.

When we take a single verse like this we can be forgiven for not understanding it, no matter which translation of the bible we use!

It can be hard to understand the scriptures unless we have someone explain them to us – which is what we should be doing with others too.

Don’t try to explain Christ in terms of human relationships or ways; He is the Son of God and we need to see Him as such!
