Luke 6:36 Be merciful, just as your Father is merciful.

How many times have you forgiven someone for doing something wrong this week? Did they show remorse and humility?

How many times have you shown remorse and humility for something you have done wrong this week?

There are two sides to all coins, and we need to be fully aware of both sides of the arguments and situations we get ourselves into.

If you expect to see mercy, you must show mercy too!

Psalm 27:4 One thing I ask from the Lord, this only do I seek: that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to gaze on the beauty of the Lord and to seek him in his temple.

When David came up with the words for this Psalm, he was speaking from the heart to a faithful and just God.

He was acknowledging God as everything in his life and the very strength which held him together.

If we are willing to go this far with how we describe God in our lives, then maybe, just maybe, we will begin to understand just how important God really is!

Galatians 6:1 Brothers and sisters, if someone is caught in a sin, you who live by the Spirit should restore that person gently. But watch yourselves, or you also may be tempted.

How many times have you been tempted to join in with someone who was doing wrong? Sometimes it looks like too much fun and we give in to see what happens…

God wants us to be able to stand firm in His Word under His instruction and to be able to gently help others out of their predicaments.

This does not mean we totally separate ourselves from bad people – it means stepping in to give them a hand!

Matthew 5:20 For I tell you that unless your righteousness surpasses that of the Pharisees and the teachers of the law, you will certainly not enter the kingdom of heaven.

How good do you have to be to get into Heaven?

Well, the Pharisees made an art out of doing the right thing at the right time and shamed anyone who did not live up to that goal!

Jesus reminded the disciples we have to be totally righteous to get into Heaven… But because that is physically impossible, we must rely on His forgiveness and mercy!
