Genesis 37:4 When his brothers saw that their father loved him more than any of them, they hated him and could not speak a kind word to him.

Because Israel loved Joseph, he made him an ornate robe which he gave to him. Joseph’s brothers were not pleased because they did not get their own robes and they took it out on Joseph!

Joseph had no control on whether he got the robe or not, so why did the brothers take it out on him?

Unfortunately feelings like greed and jealousy make up a major part of our lives and tend to take over when we least expect them to.

No matter what people give you, try to ensure God is by your side and allow people to see so!

Luke 16:31 ‘He said to him, “If they do not listen to Moses and the Prophets, they will not be convinced even if someone rises from the dead.”’

What does it take for you to believe – and when you are convinced, what does it take for you to have doubts?

If we are honest, it takes a lot to convince us, but very little to make us doubt.

God wants us to be willing to listen to what is in our bibles, believing these words; and ignoring the gossip and tale tellers who come to cause doubt and trouble!

Psalm 31:5 Into your hands I commit my spirit; deliver me, Lord, my faithful God.

Is there someone in your life who you always turn to when things are wrong? Someone who always seems to help out when the going is tough?

I know it is hard to put your trust entirely in someone who you cannot see face to face, but we really need to do this with Jesus!

Christ has given His life so we can live a life without the debt for the sin we do – we must admit those sins to Him and ask for His forgiveness – it is what He requires of us!

Psalm 50:8 I bring no charges against you concerning your sacrifices or concerning your burnt offerings, which are ever before me.

What happened in the old times when someone sacrificed an animal before God to gain forgiveness?

God forgave them for the sin and put that sin behind Him once and for all. He did not go back and revisit that sin ever again!

That is forgiveness! Taking the issue and putting it behind you no matter what happens in the future!
