Psalm 146:6 He is the Maker of heaven and earth, the sea, and everything in them – he remains faithful for ever.

What do you think about when you look out over the ocean? Do you feel the vastness and think of yourself as being very small?

Have you watched any films or videos recently about the space trips people are taking and marvelled at the speeds and heights the spacecraft are going?

No matter how much we feel overwhelmed by the vastness of this earth, this solar system or the universe – we know God remains faithful to the promises He made to us, personally!

Daniel 6:22 My God sent his angel, and he shut the mouths of the lions. They have not hurt me, because I was found innocent in his sight. Nor have I ever done any wrong before you, Your Majesty.’

When Daniel was thrown into the lions’ den everyone expected him to be devoured by the lions; but he was not!

Daniel’s testimony was not to brag about being alive, but to lift up God’s name by telling of the angel who came from God to stop the lions from eating him.

Daniel reminded the king he had done nothing wrong by worshipping God, because God is not a mortal man just as we all are, but is our Heavenly Father!

Daniel 5:4 As they drank the wine, they praised the gods of gold and silver, of bronze, iron, wood and stone.

What things do you praise in your life? Do you seek after gold, silver, riches, idols, statues, buildings, property, longer physical life or even fitness above others?

God wants us to seek a life with Him, spiritual and true.

God wants us to lift up our praises to Him and allow others to see the riches we will have in Heaven with Him and not the riches built up here on earth!

Daniel 2:37 Your Majesty, you are the king of kings. The God of heaven has given you dominion and power and might and glory;

No matter how far up the ladder you can get in you business, or how rich you become or how famous; you have nothing which God has not allowed you to have!

What recognition are you giving God for the things you have in your life?

It warms my heart to see our Queen here in the UK praising God and encouraging others to do the same.

Give God the glory for great things He has done!
