John 3:12 I have spoken to you of earthly things and you do not believe; how then will you believe if I speak of heavenly things?

Do you struggle with the concepts of God, science, nature and wonder how they can exist together?

I used to, but now I struggle with believing some of the ‘science’ people put forward when it should be called ‘theories’...

God has done so much to prove so much for us, having people write it all down... yet we would rather believe something written down as a modern theory because it makes life easier!

Romans 8:18 I consider that our present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in us.

Far too often in our lives we get caught up in our sufferings and allow them to take over our world...

Note how this verse ends: “with the glory that will be revealed in us.”

We must not dwell on the here and now which can get us down and despondent – rather we need to focus on what we can have through our spiritual lives with God!

Psalms 32:1 Blessed is the one whose transgressions are forgiven, whose sins are covered.

When you read the words in the Psalms, do you think of them as historical songs and prayers, or do you think of them as modern songs and prayers.

Today we look at a Psalm which was written knowing the Messiah would come to be with us and knowing people would have their sins forgiven!

We have our historical records showing us Jesus is that Messiah and also how He forgave many people of their sins and well as helping and healing them!

This is here and now!

Mark 10:48 Many rebuked him and told him to be quiet, but he shouted all the more, ‘Son of David, have mercy on me!’

Sometimes we have to stop being polite and shout out a bit louder to make sure people hear us!

God wants everyone to hear the good news of the gospel – and we have to be willing to be the ones to do the shouting when we need to!

Many will come up against us when we talk about Jesus – but there will be those who stand up with us and give us the strength and support we need to carry on for Christ!
