John 16:7 But very truly I tell you, it is for your good that I am going away. Unless I go away, the Advocate will not come to you; but if I go, I will send him to you.

Do you sometimes think it would be so much better if Jesus was still with us on earth, walking with us, teaching us?

As Jesus explained here, He had to go through all that He did to ensure He could pay the debt we owe and to pave the way for the Holy Spirit to live with us.

God promised, Jesus delivered and the Spirit carries on living with us, teaching, guiding and carrying on the Love God still has for us!

Romans 8:24 For in this hope we were saved. But hope that is seen is no hope at all. Who hopes for what they already have?

How many times do you wait for something to happen before you believe in it?

God has promised us many things, things which have not yet happened and things we cannot see.

God wants us to trust Him and His promises – this is our faith we must have in Christ and in God with the Holy Spirit as our champion.

Acts 2:17 In the last days, God says, I will pour out my Spirit on all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy, your young men will see visions, your old men will dream dreams.

The prophet Joel wrote of this happening hundreds of years before Christ even came to be with us – before He made the promise to the disciples!

God has had this plan all along we will have Him by our sides at all times – and with Him we will do amazing things.

This is for us to trust and believe in – not for Him to make miracles happen so we will believe, but for us to believe first so miracles can happen!
