John 14:1 Do not let your hearts be troubled. You believe in God; believe also in me.

Jesus comforted the disciples by telling them of the amazing place God has reserved for them in heaven – a place which is far beyond what they can imagine.

They could not see any evidence of this place, nor can we...

But we have the promises God has made, the promises Jesus came to fulfil and the promises being made to us by the Holy Spirit.

If we have an ounce of faith in Christ, we will see the results of all of these promises!

John 16:1 All this I have told you so that you will not fall away.

What is stopping you from walking away from God? Nothing really...

The evil one would want nothing more than for you to walk away from God, and he does so many things in our lives to try and get us to do that.

I know. I have been there. I have walked away from God – but thankfully Christ did not give up on me and continued to try to get through to me when I was walking my own path.

I find it hard to walk away now because I know Christ better than I did before... I know how much he loves me!

Psalm 118:6 The Lord is with me; I will not be afraid. What can mere mortals do to me?

How many times do you look up a verse when someone quotes it on social media? I did look this one up!

I must admit I take people’s word for it sometimes and assume they know what they are talking about – after all we come to trust our Christian brothers and sisters!

The more we trust in Christ and the Holy Spirit, the more we will be prompted to do things like looking up passages in His Word.

1 John 5:17 All wrongdoing is sin, and there is sin that does not lead to death.

We can read in parts of our bibles where people willingly committed sins and they paid for them there and then with their lives!

But we can also read about many people who have sinned and have not either been put to death of died because of their sins...

Our God, though just, has mercy and is willing to forgive. The question then becomes, are we willing to admit to the sins in our lives and ask for the forgiveness!
