Ephesians 4:15 but, speaking the truth in love, may grow up in all things into Him who is the head—Christ—

Our aim, according to the Apostles writing to the people of the church of Ephesus, is to make sure we try to live righteously to be imitators of the head of our Church (Jesus Christ.)

Christ continued to make an impression upon the disciples which would last long after He died and rose again.

We need to take a leaf out of their books and do likewise, following God’s will in our lives to become more like disciples and even teachers of our own disciples.

But never forget that Jesus Christ is the head of our church and the one we should be glorifying; not ourselves!

Ephesians 2:21 in whom the whole building, being fitted together, grows into a holy temple in the Lord,

One thing which struck me when I read this today was the idea we are a church built together for the Holy Spirit to indwell.

I have always thought we are not big enough for the Spirit to come and take up residence within our hearts; but as a church we are a whole lot bigger!

God has purpose and the Spirit has purpose; He does not need us but wants us to help spread the Gospel.

Be purposeful in your life and sow the seeds as far as you can!

1 Peter 2:5 you also, as living stones, are being built up a spiritual house, a holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ.

Imagine what it would be like to have living building blocks! I love building things with LEGO (T) and enjoy the new themes they come out with.

But to be able to have something build itself because it is living would just be awesome.

God has created us as living blocks, living stones where we are able to build things ourselves, our spiritual souls are building blocks.

Enjoy living with God as He guides you toward a better and more beautiful future with Him.

Philippians 4:18 Indeed I have all and abound. I am full, having received from Epaphroditus the things sent from you, a sweet-smelling aroma, an acceptable sacrifice, well pleasing to God.

It is not just what we should be doing for God and our attitude toward what we can do for Him; it is what and how we do things for others too.

Loving others does not just mean buying them presents or giving them a surprise, it is all about supporting them all the time.

God continues to do so much for us all the time; take a page from His book and apply it into your own life, making others happy!
