2 Timothy 3:16 All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness,

The bible continues to be the best-selling book in the world. It is one of the most talked about books, one of the most controversial, one of the most read and one of the most put aside books in the world.

It has been with us for a very long time, kept secret at times, plainly and openly published, translated into many languages and continues to be used to promote a truth that is held deep within our very beings.

There is no other book in the world like the bible. It is meant to be different because it is God’s Word to you…

Ezekiel 36:26 I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; I will take the heart of stone out of your flesh and give you a heart of flesh.

When Christ said He would give us a new heart it was not a single promise but a promise that has stood for a very long time. Many years ago another prophet called Ezekiel wrote these words to remind us of what Christ would do.

Jesus gave His life for you and for me just so that He could be the one who places that new heart inside of us. He wants us to feel a real live beating heart inside and not something that is beaten up and turned to stone. He wants us to have a heart that can hold His love He is giving us…

Hebrews 4:16 Let us then approach God’s throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.

When you want something, waiting around to see what could happen is not going to do much, but if you go forward with confidence and seek what you want, things may just work out a bit better!

God does not need us to come to Him because there is nothing that He cannot do, instead He wants us to come to Him so that we know that it was our act of trust, hope or faith that allowed us to find Him. That first step is the seed of belief that has been inside us from the beginning and God wants to make it grow. We start that by opening the door to Him…

Romans 10:13 For “whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved.”

This is a statement repeated after something a prophet called Joel had said 800 years before Jesus was born in Bethlehem. God has always wanted us to call on His name, right from to time when He first showed us that we break His laws.

Calling on God to say that we are sorry for the things we have done wrong is as simple as talking to a friend but it can be as difficult as climbing a mountain unless we accept Christ as our Lord and Saviour.

God is waiting, patiently, continually, lovingly and willingly, just for you.
