Titus 1:2 in hope of eternal life which God, who cannot lie, promised before time began,

God promised us eternal life right from the beginning. He designed everything for us so that we could know Him and trust in Him. He has given us every reason to believe His promises; promises that have been the same from the beginning.

Psalm 100:5 For the Lord is good; His mercy is everlasting, And His truth endures to all generations.

Jesus is described as being our Good Shepherd because a good shepherd will continue to look after their flock no matter what happens.

Jesus loves us and wants to take care of us. In order to allow Him to do that we do have to submit to Him so that He can care for us.

We have thousands of years of proof that God continues to care for us and have mercy on us. How much more proof do we need that He is our Lord and Saviour who cares!

God has been here for us from the beginning and will continue to be a refuge and a tower of strength we can count on always.

If you knew that you were going to be given a million dollars, would you go out and continue to work or would you give up and just wait for the money?

That’s probably a hard question for some of us to answer but one that never crossed Jesus’ mind. He did not sit back and say that everything was going to be fine later on; instead He went to work continually while He was here on earth.

Jesus continued to serve others, and in this instance He knelt down and washed the disciples’ feet. Our Lord, our Master, our King, our Saviour…
