Proverbs 1:33 but whoever listens to me will live in safety and be at ease, without fear of harm.’

It’s not knowing God which will keep you safe from harm, but listening to God which will!

The evil one knows God, but he does not listen to God – hence things go wrong all the time!

But, if we behave much like some of the great people in our bibles, we will be safer because we begin to see how much they listened to and obeyed God!

John 14:23 Jesus replied, ‘Anyone who loves me will obey my teaching. My Father will love them, and we will come to them and make our home with them.

When we show God how much we love Him, we experience the full loving relationship He wants with us.

How do we show God we love Him? How about inviting Him into your home...

What is God’s promise? To love us, no matter what. To come into our lives when we ask Him to – no matter what!

John 15:12 My command is this: love each other as I have loved you.

When Jesus was faced with a Pharisee who thought he knew all the rules and regulations (as well he may have because he was a learned Pharisee) He turned all the rules into two...

You must love the Lord your God with all your heart and soul.

And, you must love each other just as much...

This is the love Jesus showed us all by doing all He did before the whole world...

John 15:4 Remain in me, as I also remain in you. No branch can bear fruit by itself; it must remain in the vine. Neither can you bear fruit unless you remain in me.

We must always remember to walk close to God by staying close to the truth we know from our bibles and from the Holy Spirit.

If we remain close to God, He is able to keep us safer from the world around us than if we walk off and do our own things!

Trusting God sometimes means having to stop doing something we like because it is not helping others get to know God...
