John 9:4 I must work the works of Him who sent Me while it is day; the night is coming when no one can work.

Jesus knew He had to complete all the work assigned to Him through the scriptures; and He had no problem with doing it all.

I know we all get tired and weary, we all find it hard to do things we do not like doing; but give a thought to what Christ had to go through.

As long as there is work to be done for Christ, we should be more than willing to get on and do it without the complaints we throw out for just about everything else.

Just do it!

Philippians 2:6 who, being in the form of God, did not consider it robbery to be equal with God,

Jesus Christ is our Great Jehovah. He is the I AM what I AM. God our Father said these words but also held His Son up to be glorified to the same position as Himself.

How can we argue with the great I AM? How can we reject Jehovah God?

Because we make excuses and make up things which suit ourselves rather than giving glory to God, Christ and the Holy Spirit.

It was God who spoke over Jesus at His baptism; let us not forget the simple truth for all that it is.

John 5:18 Therefore the Jews sought all the more to kill Him, because He not only broke the Sabbath, but also said that God was His Father, making Himself equal with God.

Even though the Jews had the words written by Moses burned deep into their culture and lives, they still refused to believe Jesus was their Messiah.

Why? Was it because it all just seemed a bit too easy? Was it because they wanted their own way? Whatever the reason, God knew this was the way it would happen and had prepared for this way.

Jesus came to fulfil the scriptures, to live out the terrible truth which was written so many years beforehand.

All because God is faithful!

Matthew 27:43 He trusted in God; let Him deliver Him now if He will have Him; for He said, ‘I am the Son of God.’

I find it amazing how many people use words from the bible to either blame someone, attempt to prove God is not real or some other stupid excuse!

The Jews used the very words from Psalm 22:8 we read yesterday to mock Christ with on the cross; using them to mock instead of glorify.

But look now who is laughing last. It is certainly not the Jews who tried to uphold their own rules and regulations instead of recognising their Messiah when He came!
