Isaiah 43:8 Bring out the blind people who have eyes, and the deaf who have ears.

It is hard to give out the Gospel to people you are sure are not listening or those that just don’t want to see; but God has given us a task and that task is to give out His Word.

To us, every single person out there has eyes and ears to see and hear. It is our weak spirits that shy away from teaching others because we cannot see how we can get through to some people!

We cannot see inside people’s heart and we cannot read their minds, but what we can do is to tell them about God.

Hebrews 9:14 how much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered Himself without spot to God, cleanse your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?

We can try to sacrifice all manner of things in our lives but it is only when we give up something that we really want that we begin to get the actual meaning of sacrifice.

That does not come close to the sacrifice Jesus paid for us with His own blood! Think on that for a while…

Now when you start to do something which your conscience is telling you is not right, think again on that sacrifice!

Psalm 51:7 Purge me with hyssop, and I shall be clean; Wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow.

This verse used to remind me of images of people beating themselves with branches until it was explained better to me!

Each of us needs to remember that we are guilty before God and that we do need to ask for forgiveness. That forgiveness is forthcoming when we ask.

To ask, we need to admit our guilt and show our guilt to God. On the first Passover the people purged themselves by sprinkling the lamb’s blood with hyssop branches. Don’t beat yourself up!

James 1:3 knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience.

Have you ever wondered why you have to do drills and other repetitive exercises in order to become proficient at a sport or task?

Almost sounds like a silly question when you put it like that; so why then do we wonder at why we should have to have our faith tested at times?

God allows our faith to be tested so that we will learn how to wait on Him and to be patient with that. It also gives us time to make sure that we have got it right and can stand on our faith!
