1 Timothy 6:2  Those who have believing masters should not show them disrespect just because they are fellow believers. Instead, they should serve them even better because their masters are dear to them as fellow believers and are devoted to the welfare of their slaves. These are the things you are to teach and insist on.

This is a double edged sword. People in charge who are Christians should be looking after all in their charge as Christians.

Christians who are servants or who serve in any form should respect their bosses because of the Christian support they give.

If you find any gaps in this, something has gone wrong!

Matthew 9:12  On hearing this, Jesus said, ‘It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but those who are ill.

How often have you been to the doctor because you were feeling well?

God could see the need for light to be brought into the world because it was being consumed by darkness.

Christ is that light and we need to share that light so others will be encouraged to seek that light!

1 Timothy 3:15  if I am delayed, you will know how people ought to conduct themselves in God’s household, which is the church of the living God, the pillar and foundation of the truth.

Too often we get carried away with gossip and lies and our behaviour suffers because of them.

God wants us to think about what we do and say before we do and say things we may regret.

He has given us plenty of instruction through our bibles – we just need to read them more!

1 Timothy 3:1  Here is a trustworthy saying: whoever aspires to be an overseer desires a noble task.

Who are the people who look out for the church and support the priests as well as the congregation?

The ones who step forward and say “here I am, use me!”

Doing anything for God requires sacrifice and dedication, starting with a simple “here I am, use me!”
