Psalm 94:11 The Lord knows all human plans; he knows that they are futile.
One of the things I see people being confused by is the language used in the Old Testament.
We often forget these words are written by people who were trying to make sense of living with God…
If we simply accept Christ as our Lord and Saviour, other things will fall into place. Our own plans are nothing when compared to God’s plans!
Matthew 10:20 for it will not be you speaking, but the Spirit of your Father speaking through you.
How many times have you failed because you tried to do it all yourself?
How many times have you succeeded because you have listened to instructions?
Are you ready to listen to God as He gives you perfect instructions?
Isaiah 1:13 Stop bringing meaningless offerings! Your incense is detestable to me. New Moons, Sabbaths and convocations - I cannot bear your worthless assemblies.
One of the things we see from time to time is how God told the people through the prophets that their offerings were worthless!
God does not look at the physical act of offerings or sacrifices…
God looks at your heart and what you actually feel about any offering you may bring forward!
Ephesians 1:4 For he chose us in him before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in his sight.
God loves us and has chosen us to be His people. He chose us to be special, not sinners!
We chose to be sinners and drove ourselves away from Him.
But He is waiting for us to come back and say sorry so He can love us more again!
