Psalm 28:3 Do not drag me away with the wicked, with those who do evil, who speak cordially with their neighbours but harbour malice in their hearts.
I think the words of this psalm have to be considered carefully…
The author is not just asking God to answer their prayers but also humbling themselves before God!
He going down to the level of the wicked people in front of God but asking for mercy!
Genesis 50:19 But Joseph said to them, ‘Don’t be afraid. Am I in the place of God?
Joseph lived a fairly remarkable life considering he was sold as a slave by his brothers!
Joseph knew his place with God and placed his whole trust and faith in God.
How far are you willing to trust God with the things in your life?
Psalm 113:2 Let the name of the Lord be praised, both now and for evermore.
I wonder, do you lift up the name of Jesus wherever you go?
Sometimes it seems hard to do this when we are surrounded by people who hate Christians or who object to us…
Christ wants us to show love and mercy to everyone because that will praise God through our actions!
1 Timothy 1:12 I thank Christ Jesus our Lord, who has given me strength, that he considered me trustworthy, appointing me to his service.
Do you know just how much God is relying on you to teach others the gospel?
God has placed a great burden of trust and reliance on each of us to carry forward His Word into the world.
He has given us all we need and has provided us with a rich history to show people this is all His doing!
