Luke 4:40 At sunset, the people brought to Jesus all who had various kinds of illness, and laying his hands on each one, he healed them.
Jesus was willing to stop His busy life and sit with people, listening, loving and healing.
When we say we want to be more like Jesus, do we also mean it?
Step forward today and just be with someone. It could make all the difference!
Psalm 27:1 The Lord is my light and my salvation – whom shall I fear? The Lord is the stronghold of my life – of whom shall I be afraid?
Have you ever been accused of using religion as a crutch?
My response is I do use Jesus as a crutch because I believe He has asked me to rely on Him.
I don’t use religion as a crutch because that is much to vague and covers far too much in human terms.
Be sure about who you rely on and let others know!
Luke 4:24 ‘Truly I tell you,’ he continued, ‘no prophet is accepted in his home town.
One of the hardest things to get over is other people’s prejudice based on what you have done in the past!
When we accept Christ into our lives we have a chance at changing our lives for the better.
When people see that change, they do think about it; and maybe that is the encouragement they need to get to know Christ too!
Psalm 26:2 Test me, Lord, and try me, examine my heart and my mind;
Are you willing to say these words out loud? Are you willing to allow God to test you?
We need Christ with us before we can face the world because we are not strong enough.
But, with Christ, we can face anything when we trust Him!
