Matthew 5:8 Blessed are the pure in heart, For they shall see God.

Oh how wonderful it will be to see God when we get to heaven! Are you scared as to whether you will make it?

Are you scared that you have done too much wrong or no longer have a pure heart?

That is why Jesus Christ came to earth. Not to punish us, not to convict us, not to blame us, not to make sure we fail… but the opposite.

Christ came for us. The broken. The needy. The poor. The ones who need Him most. He came to make us pure in heart so we can see God face to face!

1 Timothy 1:5 Now the purpose of the commandment is love from a pure heart, from a good conscience, and from sincere faith,

God’s Word has been given to us so that we will understand love a bit more than we find for ourselves.

Yes it is fantastic to fall in love and for that love to continue, but for lasting love it has to be pure, from the heart, not having roots in deceit and believing it will last.

This is the love we need to share with Christ, knowing He is always going to be faithful and true to us, so we can be so to Him too.

Allow your love to grow always and make sure that Christ is a part of that love always.

Romans 12:9 Let love be without hypocrisy. Abhor what is evil. Cling to what is good.

When someone says you should love without hypocrisy, do you love someone less to prevent yourself from being a hypocrite or do you love them more?

Your action chosen will define the depth of your love and the commitment of that love!

We are not to love people less but to love them more. Jesus did not hold back His love but allowed it to overflow on the cross for us.

Love is the ultimate definition of God’s feelings toward us and should be the definition of our feelings toward other people as well.

Philippians 1:21 For to me, to live is Christ, and to die is gain.

How willing are you to listen to Christ without question? How willing are you to go against your own wants to follow Christ’s ways?

If Christ did ask you to do something which was not what you wanted to do, what would your reaction be?

We don’t like being told what to do at the best of times, but we do want to be given guidance.

Are you willing to put aside your ideas and follow Christ’s wishes for your life?
